PERBEDAAN STRES MAHASISWA LAKI-LAKI DAN PEREMPUAN YANG BEKERJA DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SKRIPSI DI UNIVERSITAS 45 SURABAYA
Abstract
This research aims to examine the differences of stress between worked male and female college students at Universitas 45 Surabaya to accomplish their skripsi. Working on a skripsi while having a full-time/part-time job is certainly not easy to do, job demands and skripsi deadlines must be done and completed immediately so that it doesn't cause stress. Stress comes from demands that exceed the individual's ability to fulfill it because there are problems in the process of fulfilling a life target, then the person will feel a condition of tension within himself. If prolonged tension cannot be overcome, it will develop into stress. There are many obstacles for students who find it difficult to complete their thesis, such as determining the title, finding appropriate journals or manuals book and also the academic abilities of the students themselves. Gender is an indicator that affects not only physically but also psychologically. Men are known to be more rational, more principled, quick to make decisions, and control themselves. Meanwhile, women tend to be less rational, spoiled, easy to understand other people's feelings, cowardly, and inferior. From the results, it can be concluded that men are more stressed than women.This research uses a quantitative research method. The data collection method used in this study was filling out the DASS 42 (Depression Anxiety Stress Scales) Questionnaire through the Google Form application. The population of this research college students at Universitas 45 Surabaya to accomplish their skripsi many as 98 people, with a research sample of 60 respondents, including 30 men and 30 women. From the results, it can be concluded that men are more stressed than women. Keywords : The Difference of Stress, Gender, Skripsi
